Support

Knave Craps is made by a small independent studio, and mail here is read by the people who build it. Most questions are answered below — if yours isn’t, write to us.

Your purchase

I bought the unlock, but the game still says I’m out of rolls

Restore the purchase. It is free, and it works on any device signed in to the Apple Account that bought it:

  1. Tap the ··· button on the rail, at the bottom-right of the table.
  2. Choose Unlock the Table…
  3. Tap Restore Purchases.

If it reports that there is no purchase to restore, the device is almost always signed in to a different Apple Account than the one that paid. Check Settings › [your name] › Media & Purchases on the device.

Does one purchase cover my iPhone and my iPad?

Yes. One purchase unlocks the table on every device signed in to the same Apple Account, and Family Sharing is supported, so your family group can play on it too. There is no subscription, no chip packs and no ads — you buy it once.

I’d like a refund

Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, not by us — we can’t issue them on your behalf. For the App Store, use reportaproblem.apple.com. For the Windows edition, use your Microsoft account’s order history; for the Steam edition, Steam Support. If something about the game drove you to ask, we’d genuinely like to hear it either way.

Free rolls

The iPhone and iPad edition is free to try. You get 150 rolls to start, and 25 a day after those are gone. The count left is in the status strip along the top of the table.

  • The daily rolls come back at the start of the next day, by your device’s own clock and time zone. There is nothing to claim — open the app and they are there.
  • The opening 150 are a one-time trial. Once they are spent you move to the daily allowance; they do not come back.
  • A hand in progress is always played out. If you run out mid-point, you still get to seven-out or hit the number, and those extra throws are never charged against tomorrow.

Learning the game

Learn the Table

Six guided lessons played on the live table with practice chips. Tap ··· on the rail and choose Learn the Table. Nothing you do in a lesson touches your own bankroll, and you can leave and pick it up again at any point.

Ask the Dealer

The plaque on the rail tells you what a dealer would do with the table exactly as it stands right now — not general advice, the actual situation in front of you.

What does this bet pay?

Tap any area of the felt. A card explains what wins, what loses, and the exact payout — including whether the bet is working on the come-out roll.

The written guide

Prefer to read first? Our complete craps tutorial covers a round from the come-out to the seven-out, every bet on the layout, and the house edge on each one.

Making the table match your casino

Tap ··· on the rail and choose House Rules. Start from a casino preset, or set each rule yourself: table minimum and maximum, maximum odds (up to 100×), whether the field pays triple on the 12, when the vig is collected, and whether place bets and hardways work on the come-out. Your settings stay with you between sessions.

Something went wrong

Write to knavecraps@gmail.com. A bug is far easier to fix with these four things in the message:

  • 1. Your device — “iPhone 15 Pro”, “iPad Air 11-inch”.
  • 2. Your iOS or iPadOS version.
  • 3. The app version. Tap ··· on the rail and choose About KnaveCraps — it reads something like VERSION 1.1 (10).
  • 4. What was on the table when it happened, and what you expected instead. A screenshot beats a paragraph.

The app already sends anonymous crash and performance reports, which is how most problems reach us in the first place. They carry no name, no account and no location — the privacy policy lists exactly what is in them.

Is this real gambling?

No. Knave Craps is a simulation for entertainment and practice. There is no real-money wagering, no way to deposit money into the game, and no way to take anything out of it. The chips have no value anywhere. Running out of chips costs you nothing — Restart Game in the ··· menu resets your bankroll immediately.

The store rating reflects the simulated gambling, not any real wagering. If gambling has stopped being a game for you or someone close to you, the National Council on Problem Gambling runs a free, confidential 24/7 helpline in the US — call or text 1-800-GAMBLER, or visit ncpgambling.org.

Windows and Steam

The Windows edition is a separate app with its own purchase — buying on one platform doesn’t unlock the other, because the stores don’t share entitlements. Everything on this page about the game itself still applies; for store questions, go to the Microsoft Store or Steam Support. Saved games sync within a platform (Windows Roaming Storage, Steam Cloud, iCloud), but not between them.

Still stuck?

Write to us. Feature requests and “the dealer would never do that” corrections are just as welcome as bug reports — this game is built for people who know the table, and being told where it’s wrong is how it gets closer to the real one.
